Talliki Vandanam Scheme 2024 is a cash transfer program in which an amount of Rs. 15,000 per annum is given to mothers or recognized guardians for every child going to schools / colleges. This programs primarily focuses on reducing financial barriers in education, improving school enrollment & attendance, reducing dropout rates, improving academic performance, enhancing health & nutrition, promoting gender equality and alleviating poverty. Talliki Vandanam is a revamped version of the earlier running Amma Vodi Scheme.

The scheme description in Talliki Vandanam government order stated that “As a part of Government Assured Flagship Programs, the Government under “TALLIKI VANDANAM” scheme is providing financial assistance of Rs. 15,000/- per annum to each mother or recognized guardian who is below poverty line household and sending their children to schools/colleges i.e., from Classes I to XII”.

Talliki Vandanam, aims to ensure that no child misses out on education due to poverty. This innovative scheme supports mothers in sending their children to school regularly, significantly reducing the dropout rate.

Thalliki Vandanam Scheme Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh state.
  • Only mothers or recognized guardians (in absence of mother) are liable to get assistance amount.
  • Applicant must belong to below poverty line (BPL) family.
  • The scheme benefits would be given irrespective of caste, creed, religion and region.
  • Applicant must be sending their children to schools / colleges from Class 1st to 12th.
  • Mothers / Guardians must ensure 75% attendance of their wards in each class for which they are seeking assistance.

List of Documents Required for Talliki Vandanam Scheme

1) Aadhaar Card (mandatory)
2) Any one of the below mentioned documents

  • Bank or Post Office Passbook with Photo; or
  • PAN Card; or
  • Passport; or
  • Ration Card; or
  • Voter ID Card; or
  • MGNREGA Card; or
  • Kisan Photo Passbook; or
  • Driving Licence; or
  • Certificate of Identity having photo of such person issued by a Gazetted officer or Tehsildar on an official letter head.

  • First of all, visit the link – https://egsws.ap.gov.in/reports1.aspx
  • Upon clicking the link, page for checking Talliki Vandanam (Amma Vodi) Status Online will open.
  • Here you can select name of district, mandal, secretariat, cluster and then click at “Jagananna Ammavodi” under Reports section.
  • Select year and click at either “Eligible List / Rejected List” link.
  • Next enter captcha and verify it to start downloading Amma Vodi Scheme List (Eligible / Rejected) of beneficiaries.

  • It is worth noting that the reports are available for the previous years, so scheme name is specified as “Ammavodi”.

Whenever the new reports for the current year 2024-25 are available, the scheme name would be displayed as “Talliki Vandanam” while checking the Talliki Vandanam Scheme status.

Thalliki Vandanam Scheme in AP Budget 2024-25

On 11th November 2024, Finance Minister presented AP Budget 2024-25. While delivering budget speech, FM said “Our government is fulfilling a Super Six promise by providing financial assistance through Thalliki Vandanam to mothers for their children studying from Class I to Class XII in government and private schools. This scheme aims to ensure that no child has to leave education due to poverty. It will help to drastically reduce the school drop-out rates”.
