NSP Portal OTR Registration 2024 & Login process has been started at scholarships.gov.in. One Time Registration (OTR) is required to apply for scholarships present on National Scholarship Portal. OTR is a unique 14-digit number issued based on the Aadhaar/Aadhaar Enrolment ID (EID). NSP Scholarship OTR is applicable for the entire academic career of the student.

The one time registration on NSP portal simplifies the scholarship application process, thereby eliminating the need of registration in each academic year. OTR can be generated using Aadhaar/Aadhaar Enrollment number (EID). NSP Portal OTR can be used to apply online for various NSP scholarship schemes. NSP Portal OTR Registration 2024 & Login

• First of all, visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at https://scholarships.gov.in/
• At the homepage, reach out to ‘Get Your OTR‘ section and click “Apply Now” link or directly click https://scholarships.gov.in/otrapplication/#/login-page
• Accordingly, the page to make NSP Portal Login with OTR will appear as shown below:-



• NSP Scholarship login can be made using OTR (one time registration) number and password. If you are a new user, then click “New User ? Register Yourself” link.
• Direct link for NSP Scholarship OTR Registration – https://scholarships.gov.in/otrapplication/#/registration-page
• Once you click the link, the page to displaying NSP portal OTR registration guidelines will open.



• Read the instruction carefully, tick the declaration and click “Next” button to open page to register mobile number for NSP Scholarship OTR registration.



• Enter mobile number and click “GET OTP” button to receive an OTP on your mobile number. Then enter the OTP and captcha and click “Verify” button to validate it.
• On successful verification of OTP, page to do e-KYC for National Scholarship Portal OTR Registration will open.



• Once e-KYC is done, applicants can finally submit the filled form to make NSP Scholarship Portal OTR registration.
• After NSP one time registration is complete, applicants can make NSP portal login using OTR number and apply for NSP scholarship schemes.

Note that correction and editing is not allowed after final submission of NSP OTR form, so fill and submit it carefully.

NSP Portal OTR Registration Guidelines

One Time Registration (OTR) Guidelines for Scholarships Hosted on NSP are as follows:-

• Mandatory Requirement: One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory for applying for various scholarship schemes on National Scholarship Portal/other portals.
• Essential Requirement for OTR: Active mobile number is mandatory for OTR.
• No payment of fee is required for OTR.
• Steps for Registration:
  • Once allotted an OTR, student can apply for scholarship later when the portal is open for application submission.
  • Upon successful registration, a reference number will be sent on the registered mobile number.
  • Download and install NSP OTR app and Aadhaar Face RD services on android based devices.
  • Perform the Face-Authentication using the generated reference number for OTR sent on your mobile no.
  • After successful Face-Authentication OTR will be generated.
• Please apply for Scholarship using OTR. Merely generation of OTR does not tantamount to application for scholarship.
• Aadhaar Requirement: Aadhaar is required for OTR. If Aadhaar is not assigned, registration can be done using Enrollment ID (EID) for Aadhaar. If a minor student has not been assigned Aadhaar yet, registration can be done using Aadhaar of her parent or legal guardian.
• It is advised to update other relevant demographic records (name, dob, gender) to match with Aadhaar/EID.
• Parent/legal guardian of minor applying with their Aadhaar must ensure that while making an application for Aadhaar enrolment of minor shall use the same demographic details (of minor) as used in the OTR.
• One OTR ID is allowed per student. However, parent/legal guardian can generate upto a maximum of two OTRs (for two minor children)
• In case more than one OTR is found for a student, he/she would be liable for debarment from scholarships.

NSP OTR App Download from Google Play Store

• The NSP OTR App is for students to complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the National Scholarship Portal.
• This application uses Aadhaar Face RD Services to authenticate user from UIDAI.
• External biometric devices are not required to perform face-authentication.
• User can download Aadhaar Face RD from Google Play Store; Search for AadhaarFaceRD in Google Play Store.

NSP Services at CSC Centres

NSP services are now available at Common Service Centres (CSCs). You can now locate nearest CSC Centre. Students can avail the scholarship related services by visiting the nearby CSCs.

The total charges for the entire activity per candidate (including generation of Reference number, biometric -authentication, generation of One-Time Registration (OTR) number, and filing of complete application form of the candidate) is fixed at Rs 30.00 (inclusive of all applicable taxes, etc.)
