PM Narendra Modi has launched LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana 2024 on 9th Dec 2024, apply online for mahila career agent scheme at licindia.in. The hon’ble Prime Minister started Mahila Career Agent Yojana (Bima Sakhi) on 9th December from Panipat district in Haryana. This employment scheme is a 2nd major initiative of central government from the same district, earlier one was Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative. Under this women career agent scheme, the Life Insurance Corporation of India would hire women to work as policy agents.
LIC would provide job opportunities to women which would enable them to sustain their livelihood. Women would be able to work with prestigious institution like LIC and would also receive stipend under Mahila Career Agent Yojana. Salient Features of LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana 2024
LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana is also known with the name Mahila Career Agent Yojana or Women Career Agent Scheme. (so these terms are used interchangeably)
Central govt. led by PM Narendra Modi launched Mahila Career Agent (MCA) Scheme on 9th December 2024.
Prime Minister himself has launched this women career agent scheme from Panipat District in Haryana.
Life Insurance Corporation of India would be the nodal agency for the implementation of LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana.
This scheme would be implemented at a PAN India Level.
Job profile of the hired women under this scheme would be ‘women career agents’.
Women Career Agent Scheme Advertisement
Such women career agents shall be given tasks to sell insurance policies to common people by telling them the benefits of various LIC schemes.
LIC’s Bima Sakhi (MCA Scheme) is a Stipendiary Scheme, exclusively for women, with a stipendiary period of 3 years.
The appointment of a person under the MCA scheme will not be treated as a salaried appointment as an employee of the Corporation.
Minimum completed age should be 18 years as on date of application. Maximum age at entry will be 70 years (last birthday)
Minimum qualification – pass in 10th standard.
Along with getting monthly stipend on working with LIC, women would receive commission on the basis of the number of policies sold.
The stipend could be given for atmost 3 years. Women would receive Rs. 7000, Rs. 6000, Rs. 5000 per month for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year respectively.
LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana Eligibility
Applicant women must lie b/w 18 years to 70 years of age.
Applicant women must be 10th class pass.
Mahila Career Agent Yojana Eligibility
Relatives of existing Agent or Employee shall not be eligible to be recruited as MCAs. Relatives shall include the following family members – Spouse, Children including adopted and step children (whether dependent or not), Parents, Brothers, Sisters and immediate In-laws.
A Retired employee of the Corporation or an Ex-agent seeking reappointment shall not be granted agency under MCA scheme.
Existing agent can not apply for recruitment as MCA.
Mahila Career Agent Yojana Salary (Stipend)
First Year
Rs. 7000 per month
Second Year
Rs. 6000 per month (subject to at least 65% of Policies completed in the First stipendiary year are in-force as at the end of the corresponding month of the second stipendiary year)
Third Year
Rs. 5000 per month (subject to at least 65% of Policies completed in the Second stipendiary year are in-force as at the end of the corresponding month of the third stipendiary year)
Bima Sakhi Yojana Initial Announcement by Haryana CM
The honourable Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Saini, earlier made an announcement regarding launch of Bima Sakhi Yojana 2024. CM Haryana said that PM Modi will visit Haryana state on 9th December 2024. During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will start a new initiative namely Bima Sakhi Yojana.
