To encourage family planning and especially to discourage childbearing after the birth of 2 girl children.

To stop female feticide and infanticide across the state.
To create positive and enabling environment for the development of the girl child.
To discourage child marriage and to encourage marriage at the legally acceptable age.
MP Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0 Amount
Under MP Ladli Laxmi Yojana, an assurance certificate of Rs. 1,43,000 is issued by the MP government in the name of the girl child.
Registered girl child will get the following scholarship amount:-
On admission to class 6th – Rs. 2000
On admission to class 9th – Rs. 4000
On admission to class 11th – Rs. 6000
On admission to class 12th – Rs. 6000
On taking admission in graduate or professional course after class 12th (with course duration of minimum 2 years), an incentive amount of Rs. 25000 will be given to the ladli girls. This amount would be given in two equal installments. 1st installment would be credited in the first of the course and 2nd installment would be credited in the last year of the course.
The tuition fees for higher education (graduation) of ladli girls will be borne by the Madhya Pradesh government.
There is a provision of final payment of Rs. 1 lakh to girl child:-
On completion of 21 years of age of the girl,
On appearing in class 12th examination, and
On marriage of the girl after completing the age prescribed by the government.
